This has bad news written all over it.. A small Southern Yellow Jacket nest opening in a front yard of a Tallahassee home, just waiting for a child to run near it, or maybe retrieve an errant ball that has landed nearby. It may only look like a small hole, but hidden in the ground are maybe 5-10,000 YellowJacket wasps, ready to deliver hundreds and maybe thousands of stings.
Don't take a chance with self-treating these nests. We often perform rescues, where the client has only succeeded in irritiating these very defensive wasps, and are held hostage in their own home, waiting for us to arrive and perform an emergency YellowJacket removal in Tallahassee.
And this species of Yellow Jacket, Vespula squamosa can attain enormous size, in mere weeks during the late summer and fall. Each nest can hold dozens of queens, producing 10's of thousands of eggs per day, which equals 10's of thousands of adults emerging each day!
Bee safe. Call the entomologists at 850-391-0272, 1-800-343-5317 or email us at info@ALLFloridaBeeRemoval.com , and we'll remove your sting worries for good, the first time!

This species is the Southern Yellow Jacket, Vespula squamosa. See our Yellowjacket pages for more info. These wasp nests can get HUGE, with numbers over one MILLION individuals. Here's a link to a video of us treating a large Yellow Jacket wasp nest..notice how many of these wasps are flying around! When you get a nest this size, treatments that your redneck brother-in-law recommends (like gasoline, kerosene, putting a bowl over the openings) simply do not work. (Read here why gasoline and kerosene should NEVER be used, anyway!). We have arrived at many, many jobs where clients have tried all these treatments and more, and STILL have the Yellowjackets, but now they've really made them MAD!!!

Clermont Hornet Nest
Clermont Hornet and Yellow Jacket Removal
We are getting plenty of calls for Hornet removal, now that it's late summer. Hornets, (actually a large yellow jacket wasp), start building a paper nest in early spring, and in late summer and fall, become large enough to start stinging with force.
Hornet Control can be difficult, as the nests can contain up to about 500 individuals, with nearly all of them capable of delivering quite a wallop!
Don't risk getting stung, call the pros at http://ALLFloridaBeeRemoval.com 321-206-5100 or toll free at 800-343-5317

Winter Park Bee Removal
Winter Park Honey Bee Removal
This is a cool pic of a recent Winter Park Bee Removal we did. A swarm had recently landed in the soffit of the house, and as you can see, they are packed tightly together and building comb quickly. We were able to perform a live honey bee removal in this instance, as the colony was newly established, small, relatively gentle and we had decent setback and shrubbery, affording the neighbors some protection.
In Winter Park, we are starting to see African Honey Bees, aka Killer Bees moving in from the East, so we think it's important to proceed cautiously when faced with a honey bee infestation. These bees were are starting to see in Winter Park, are becoming more defensive, and pose quite a liability risk to property owners and managers. When considering structural bee removal, please consider only hiring a professional, meaning one who maintains a Florida Pest Control Business License, as a minimum, as if the worst happens, and a sting event occurs, you're assets will be much more protected, than if an unlicensed provider was hired.
And, just because someone hangs the word "beekeeper" after his or her name, don't assume he or she knows bees or is licensed and insured. We are seeing some very suspect characters getting into the bee removal business these days, and have been requested on emergency calls, after a "bee keeper" has attempted a removal. Please see my posts here and here, about beekeepers performing bee removals on structures. Remember, Fla. State Statute requires a pest control license to remove bee colonies from and around structures. The University of Florida Bee Entomologist AND the Florida Apiary Chief (head beekeeper) concur.... Protect yourself, your neighbors and your assets. Call us at 321-206-5100, 800-343-5317 or Send us an email, for professional bee removal from the Stinging Insect Experts at ALLFloridaBeeRemoval.com

Orlando Wasp Control
Orlando Wasp Nest Removal
Paper wasps are fascinating insects, but when they build nests around the home, the fascination can quickly turn into annoyance, fear and even dangerous stings!
Here's the fascinating part: All wasps are predators, seeking softbodied insects such as caterpillars to cut up with their mouthparts, and transport back to the nest, where they present the goodies to the nest larvae (grublike 'wasp babies'). The larvae eat, partially digest and then regurgitate this back to the adults, in a easy to digest form.
The nests are made of a kind of paper mache', where the adults chew up tree bark and other cellulose containing materials, add saliva and make these open celled nests, that are hung upside down. You can see the white larvae, and the greyish-white pupal cases in this pic.
The fearful part? Well, in some cases, I've seen infestations with many nests, and as they grow larger, some species of Polistes Paper Wasps can get very defensive, threating and even stinging people and pets. For those that are allergic to bee, ant and wasp venom, this can be a serious medical event.

Palm Coast Live Bee Removal
Well, like we often say, bees will build their nests anywhere, and today's bee removal is a great example of that saying. This s a plastic barrel, and the honey bees have built their nest IN the barrel! They are using the bung hole (that's a real word, honest!), as the colony entrance:
This colony was found by the homeowner, while mowing his lawn. He had originally placed the barrel to use as a shallow well, but kind of forgot about it. Boy that sounds familiar!
Because the barrel was actually on city right of way, the City of Palm Coast contracted with us to perform the removal. They asked if we could attempt a live removal, and in this case we were able to perform a live honey bee removal!
I'll post more pictures as we move this off the front page. It went really well, and Palm Coast public access television recorded the removal process. For your live honey bee removal, visit us online at ALLFloridaBeeRemoval.com Call us at 800-343-5317 or you can email us at Help, we have bees! for quick, competent and reasonably priced bee removal services.

Dunnellon Killer Bee Removal in a Tree Hole
Bees LOVE Trees! We've all heard of the Winnie The Poo Bee Tree, right?
Well, this is one that Winnie had better stay away from, because it most likely houses African Honey Bees, aka Killer Bees! These bees were extremely defensive, stinging me so badly, that my bee suit was covered with stingers from my lower torso on up. They were hitting my helmet so hard it sounded like a popcorn popper!
These bees are nothing to mess with folks, and we are seeing them move further north with each passing year. Don't attempt to treat a bee tree yourself, as this client did. Can you see the burnt bark?..yeah, they tried to burn the bees out...didn't work :)
Call the professionals at ALLFloridaBeeRemoval.com , and we will treat you right, and the killer bees right too.. 800-343-5317, or send us an email here!
