Bees in a Bird Nesting Box in Pinellas County

We have been seeing throughout the last years that bees are finding new places to build there hives. This is mainly because the African Honey Bee tends to go for smaller voids than the European Honey Bee. So most of the smaller hives we have been dealing with have been the most aggressive ones. This nest is in a bird nesting box and is packed with African Killer Bees. If you come in contact with these stinging insects, call the experts.Contact the stinging insect specialists, entomologists, beekeepers, licensed and insured. Bees in a Pine Tree In Ocala, FL

Here is a nest in Ocala, Fl 15ft up in a pine tree. This was a large nest (15 shelves of honeycomb) and was very active. These types of ness are classified as external colonies because they create their nests exterior, unlike bees who will make their nests in voids in walls of knotholes. This nest started out as a smaller bee swarm, and in the last year it has blossomed into a dangerous, oversized nest with potential harm for surroundings. This nest is located adjacent to a large manufacturing facility AND a school!. Children run through this natural area, and it's a disaster just waiting to happen. So, we've removed the nest, in a manner that minimizes bee activity after the removal. Most folks practicing this art seem to cast a blind eye to the numbers of bees that will cluster in the spot of the former nest, posing quite a danger to adults and children alike, as the bees get defensive and possibly stinging anything that moves. If you come in contact with these stinging insects, call the experts.Contact the stinging insect specialists, entomologists, beekeepers, licensed and insured. HUGE African Bee Colony In Kissimmee Florida

Kissimmee HUGE Africanized Honey Bee Nest

Here Is a huge African Honey Bee Nest in Kissimmee FL, as you can see it is very large and these are very hostile. To "save" this nest would not be practical because of the enormous size of the nest would be difficult because they are already established. Also to save this type of hive isn't suggested by the state of Florida because they can disrupt a normal European Honey Bee Colony. Please take caution if you see a hive of this size or even a smaller one because they are very dangerous. If you come in contact with these stinging insects, call the experts.Contact the stinging insect specialists, entomologists, beekeepers, licensed and insured. African Killer Bees Video

Here is a video we took while working with an African Bee Colony and you can hear and even see the amount of aggressiveness that takes place in these colonies when we start to get in and remove them. They are very hostile and territorial, even before you mess with them they could come up and sting you. When saving the bees, it is not safe to save african bees, they are dangerous and can contaminate a whole bee yard with their aggressive genes.  If you come in contact with these stinging insects, call the experts.Contact the stinging insect specialists, entomologists, beekeepers, licensed and insured.
