Mulberry, Fla. Bee Removal, TECO Electric

We perform honey bee removals for most of the Electric Utilities in the State of Florida. Poles, substations and transformers make great places for honey bee colonies to build nests, and it's very important to perform proper treatment and removal in order to provide a safe environment for utility staff.

Ocala Hornet Nest Removal - Isn't it Cute?

This is a pic of a lovely Hornet nest that is just getting started..isn't it Cute?
Ocala Bald Faced Hornet nest

Hornets found in Florida, are actually very closely related to Yellow Jacket Wasps, and have a common name of "Bald Faced Hornet" or a latin name of Dolichovespula maculata . Whatever the name, they can pack quite a wallop of a sting, and removals should be left to the pros.

Please, if you have a Bald Faced Hornet nest, don't attempt a removal yourself. Call the Stinging Insect Specialists at 1-800-343-5317 or 321-206-5100 in Central Florida.

Gotha Windermere Bee Removal in Cemetery Tree

Boy if these pics don't fit the bill..Here we are treating a Honey Bee colony residing in a Gotha or Windermere Fla., cemetery. The storm clouds were rushing in quick, lightning off in the distance, and a mean bunch of Africanized Honey Bees, (aka Killer Bees or AHB) were not happy that we were depopulating the colony.
Windermere Bee Removal from Tree in Cemetery

Very dark and foreboding mood, as i suppose it should be as we are eradicating a colony of very interesting and beneficial insects. But alas, along with the good comes the bad, these bees were very defensive, stinging grounds personnel working nearby. It's just not something that can be allowed to continue, as human lives take precendence above individual bee colonies.

Titusville Bee Removal from an Owl nesting Box

Many folks keep wildlife or bird nesting boxes in their landscape and enjoy watching the activity as the young mature. Some even like to watch unintended inhabitants, including Honey Bee colonies, which often move in after the wildlife nesting activity ceases. While it may seem to be cool to host Honey Bees in your nesting box, clients often find that these feral bees cause quite a 'buzz' of a problem!
Titusville Bee Removal from Owl Nesting Box

Feral Honey Bees are increasingly Africanized in genetic composition. Yep, these are the notorious "Killer Bees" or Africanized Honey Bee (AHB) that were introduced into Florida about 10 years ago and are spreading further north. While a new colony of Killer Bees may start our nice and gentle, when the colony gets large, such as this Titusville Bee Removal pic shows, they can get mean as fire!

Bees in Wildlife nesting box
Just last month we removed a colony of bees from an owl nesting box that stung a client so badly, she had to jump in her backyard pool to seek relief. We don't recommend that, as the bees will hang around, and sting you when you come up for air! She found that out quickly and made a quick dash into her back porch, suffering over 100 stings. She is lucky to be alive.

So folks, If you need Titusville Bee Removal, or any honey bee removals, call us at 321-206-5100 or 1-800-343-5317 toll free for The Stinging Insect Experts!

Rockledge Bee Removal gone Bad!

We often are called in to clean up after a bee treatment or removal gone bad. This Rockledge Bee Removal is increasingly a very common job for us.
Rockledge Bee Removal gone wrong. Bee Poo all over window

The picture above shows what happens when a bee colony that is present inside a wall, is blocked in, by someone sealing up the opening that leads to outside. Bees will find a way out.. and if it's not an 'outside out', they will readily find small openings that lead into the interior of the structure. And when bees have been holding their, um.... or in other words, when they gots to go, they go! And go they went in this house.. all over the windows, furniture, floor. Not pretty.

When you need competent Rockledge Bee Removal or any Brevard County Bee Removal, call the Stinging Insect Experts at 321-206-5100 or Toll Free at 1-800-343-5317.

Merritt Island Bee Removal Bees in Tree Hole

Honey Bees really, really like to build nests in Tree Holes, the hollows that are in many of the larger trees in our landscapes. Ok, they probably don't "like" to build them, but tree holes are a natural, safe environment for honey bees and we find many pest colonies of bees residing in tree holes.
Bees in Merritt Island Tree Hole

Now, many of our clients would like us to do a live removal, and relocate the bee colony to one of our apiaries. It breaks some hearts when we explain that the only way one can do a True Live Bee Removal from a tree hole, is to cut the portion of the tree away where the colony is located and then cut that portion open to get at the nest. Most clients really don't want to remove their trees, so the only option available is  to terminate the bee colony.

Some might ask, "Why don't you leave the honey bee colony where it is? After all we are losing bee populations, right? Well, yes we've had increased mortality in our managed honey bees, those that we keep in white boxes. However, most of the bees we encounter in yards, buildings, etc., at least here in Florida, are not bees that we really want to keep in our white hive boxes. Most wild or feral bees have 'mixed-up' genetics, and make poor candidates for serious beekeepers. Worse yet, the numbers of Africanized (or African, or Killer Bees) are shooting through the roof here in Florida, with increases in bee attacks occuring. Trying live removals of feral bees located in or around humans is frought with danger and liability risk. It's something that we are doing less and less of every day.

And leave that colony in the tree, and odds are, as the colony increases in size, your risk for sting incidents go higher too. Daily, we field calls from folks who suffer stings from bee colonies that were very docile. Something happens to make the colony more defensive and POW!, your Saturday morning chores are put on hold as you spend the weekend in the hospital, recovering from an overload of bee venom.

More Orlando Bees in a Tree Hole

These Orlando Honey Bees were stinging the lawn crews as they performed lawn maintenance and even went after the mail delivery trucks!
Orlando bees in Tree

It's likely these are AHB or Killer Bees, as we are seeing more Africanized Honey Bee genetics spreading throughout Central Florida.

Sometimes folks want us to relocate bees that are in tree holes and have a hard time understanding that there is really no way to save a colony if it's residing inside the tree hollow....unless one is willing to cut the tree down!

Please, if you have a bee colony in a tree hole, or anywhere, don't attempt a removal yourself. Call the Stinging Insect Specialists at 1-800-343-5317 or 321-206-5100 in Central Florida.

New Smyrna Beach Bee Removal from Attic

We often write how bees prefer to live in protected confines such as hollow tree holes, block walls, water meters and other similar places where the void offers protection from marauding invaders from other bee colonies, racoons and teenage boys! We even see them in Bird Nesting Boxes!

Even external honey bee colony locations, such as under tree limbs, highway overpasses, and soffits are becoming increasingly common sites for honey bee colonies to build nests.

New Smyrna Bees In Attic
Attics remain an unusual place for honey bee colonies to build, however it is becoming an ever increasing site, as the numbers of Africanized Honey Bees, (AHB, African Honey Bees or Killer Bees) continue to move further north, here in the State of Florida. New Smyrna Bee Removals are increasing as well, and boy are we seeing some evidence of Killer Bees.

It's not unusual, when performing New Smyrna Bee Removals, to encounter very fierce Bees, and we have 'marked' several neighborhoods as being the top spots for mean bees. Timberlane, Turnbull and Riverside Drive in New Smyrna have been particular hotspots. If you encounter bees in these areas, please bee careful!

Orlando Bees in a Tree Hole

One of a honey bee colony's favorite locations to build a nest, is in the interior of trees. Most larger trees will have a hollow core, and it's a perfect, safe and insulated place to set up shop!
Removing Bees in a tree hole, Orlando Fla.

This colony of bees had been threatening citizens at a local Orlando City Park, and because we are seeing higher numbers of Africanized Honey Bees, ( AHB or Killer Bees!), City, Town and County Governments have us perform proper bee removals in many locations so citizens can enjoy safe use of government facilities.

Folks are often surprised to learn that we are seeing increased numbers of mean, Africanized Bees in central Orlando and other Central Florida cities. These are not places to be trying relocations of honey bees. The sting risk to nearby humans and pets is significant. There are folks so allergic to venom, that one sting can send them to the Emergency Room! Some can even die from one or a few stings!

Kissimmee Bee Removal from Water Meter

We perform bee removals for many cities, counties and other municipalities in Florida, and one of the growing bee colonization sites is Water Meters!

Why are water meters becoming the to-die-for bee crib of choice? Killer Bees, that's why!
Kissimmee Water Meter Bee Removal

You see, Killer Bees (African, Africanized Honey Bees, or AHB) are simply a different sub-species, or race of the Honey Bee, Apis mellifera. Yes these are 'kissin cousins' of the gentle honey producer races of honey bees that we keep in our white boxes.

Killer Bees are now spreading throughout Florida, and they seem to really like living close to the ground. (Ok, I am anthropomorphizing here, just a bit :-) ). Our nice honey producing races of Honey Bees almost never would inhabit such a small ground dwelling, prefering instead to live in places such as the voids of trees, walls of abandoned buildings, etc.

So, we can almost chart the spread of Killer Bees, by the number of water meter jobs we perform, and we do see much higher numbers the further south we go in the State. Right now, we are seeing Killer Bees as far north as Ocala, despite what is reported 'officially'..

Please, while it may seem like a good idea to perform live honey bee relocations from water meters, we find that these bees usually turn mean as fire as the colony matures in our white hive boxes. So, we usually eradicate these colonies, as the liability for a city utility is very siginificant and for a sting sensitive individual, only one sting is necessary to cause a fatality.

South Tampa Bee Removal From Shed Floor

Since the influx of African Honey Bees, ( AHB, Africanized Honey Bees, or Killer Bees), we have seen a spike in the numbers of bee removals where bee colonies are located near the ground. Shed floors are a favorite of Killer Bees, as most sheds are supported by 2X4 or 2X6 floor joists, providing a wonderful, protected area for the honey bees to flourish!
Tampa Shed Bee Removal

This pics are from a South Tampa Bee Removal we completed earlier today. As you can see, there is a LOT of comb, bees , honey and brood present. It's very important to remove all of the nest, otherwise re-infestation WILL happen!

Don't bee like many clients, who tried repeatedly to eradicate bee colonies located under shed floors and suffered sting incidents, repeated infestations, and excessive cost.

Orlando Bee Swarm or is it a Bee Nest In a Wall?

This has become a very common sight in Orlando these days: A big group of bees is seen huddling on a wall, and the client assumes that this is just a swarm of bees, maybe just hanging out for a short time until they leave.
There are 40 thousand bees In the wall too!

What is often found surprises most folks, as what is actually under the 5000 or so bees on the OUTSIDE is another 40 THOUSAND bees on the inside of the wall!

Oakland Winter Garden Bee Removal

Honey bees seem to really like to build their nests in the eaves and soffits of homes. Sometimes, the nest is rather high, and can weigh several hundred pounds, requiring us to use a lift for proper removal.
Oakland Bee Removal from Soffit

Here you see us working a colony of honey bees in this stately Oakland, FL home. The owner had been having increasing problems with these bees, and after several failed attempts to kill the colony, she called us at ALLFloridaBeeRemoval.com to take care of her problem.

It's likely that these are Africanized Honey bees, otherwise known as Killer Bees. We are seeing more Killer Bees in the Winter Garden and Oakland area.

Apollo Beach Bee Removal in Koi Pond

Today, we were called out to remove a honey bee colony from the surround of a Koi pond.
Apollo Beach Bee Removal from Koi Pond

With such expensive and sensitive fish, it's critical that we not introduce toxins or even allow bees to land in the water, as the koi can sustain fatal encounters from the proteins found in honey bee venom
Removing Bees from a pond surround

It's likely that these are Africanized Honey Bees, otherwise known as "Killer Bees", so that always adds another risk to the removal process. These bees can threaten neighbors and pets hundreds or thousands of feet away.
Vacuuming live bees from the comb

We used a vacuum to remove the live bees and then cutout all the comb, leaving a clean void that will be sealed to prevent a reinfestation.
